The stormy game of England’s star opener Jason Roy was seen in the second ODI against Bangladesh. Roy scored a century against the hosts at Mirpur. Bangladesh had no break for his stormy batting. (PTI)
In the second ODI being played in Mirpur, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. However, this decision proved too heavy for him. Philip Salt had returned to the pavilion but Roy stood aside and froze. (AFP)
Roy scored 132 runs in 124 balls. He had completed his 100 runs in just 104 balls. In this innings, he also hit 18 fours and a six. His strike rate was 106.45. (AFP)
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan did the job of putting a full stop to Roy’s innings. Roy was lbw by Shakib and had to return to the pavilion on a personal score of 132 runs. Before his dismissal, he had reached the team’s score beyond 200. (AFP)
This is his second century in the last five matches. Roy was a flop in the first match of the series and was able to score only four runs. England also won the first match of the series by three wickets. (AFP)
