Earlier it was being said that Ranbir Kapoor would be seen in the lead role but in the latest reports it is being said that Ayushmann Khurrana will play the role of Dada (Sourav Ganguly) in the biopic.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s recent movie Dream Girl 2 has been released, which has been successful on the big screen. The film has earned well. This film is the sequel of his Dream Girl. Now Khurana will be seen hitting sixes and fours on screen, he will be in the role of the captain who taught Team India to win on foreign soil.
Sourav Ganguly is called the Prince of Kolkata, he belongs to a well-known family of this city. Ganguly himself had told that his family had sent him to the cricket academy so that he could stay away from football. Ganguly used to play football a lot, due to which his family was unhappy. With time, Ganguly also fell in love with cricket.

Not Ranbir, Ayushman Khurana will play Ganguly’s role
Earlier the name of Ranbir Kapoor was coming up that he would be seen in the role of Ganguly. Karthik Aryan’s name also surfaced in another report. But now the name of Ayushmann Khurrana has come out and also when the shooting of the film will start.

Ganguly’s biopic will be directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Let us tell you that Aishwarya is the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. This will be his first Hindi film as a director. The shooting of the biopic may begin in December this year, though there is no official confirmation yet.
According to the news, Ganguly is very excited about this film and is also devoting more of his time. He has also met Khurana regarding this. Ganguly used to bat with the left hand and the good thing is that Ayushmann also bats with the left hand and this is being said to be a big reason for Khurana choosing this role.
