IND vs ENG 1st Test: Indian cricket team’s all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin is ready to face England in the IND vs ENG Test series. This veteran spinner has claimed that he is excited to counter baseball. Ashwin won the BCCI Men’s Player of the Year Award for 2020-21. Ahead of the India and England Test series, Ashwin said that he is ready to counter Brendon McCullum’s aggressive brand of cricket.

India has to face England for a 5-match test series. The first test will start from January 25. Ashwin has claimed that he is excited about baseball and is keen to compete in it.

Ashwin received the BCCI Men’s Player of the Year award and said, “Baseball excites me. This type of cricket impresses me. The fearless approach is good and I stand here and know what to expect.”
Ashwin is impressed by England’s new brand of cricket and is keen to face it for the first time. The spinner claimed that Test cricket with its aggressive and fearless approach is new and interesting. Furthermore he claimed that it is an exciting feeling to have no idea what to expect from the opposition.
Ashwin is also on the verge of breaking a big record. He is now just 10 wickets away from taking 500 Test wickets. When asked, he said, “Numbers don’t excite me anymore. This used to happen when I was a child. Now, in pressure situations these figures take a back seat, the focus is on winning the game.”
