All England Badminton Championship: HS Prannoy made mistakes after taking a one-sided lead in the first game, due to which he fell behind in the match, but he did not delay in making a strong comeback

Birmingham. HS Prannoy made an emphatic winning start to his campaign in the All England Championships badminton tournament. The Indian star defeated Xu Wei Wang of Chinese Taipei in straight games in the first round to make it to the second round of the tournament. World number 9 Prannoy registered a 21-19, 22-20 win over Wang in 49 minutes. The Indian star had to sweat it out to win both the games. With this win, Prannoy’s win-loss record against Wang also became 5-3.
In the next round, Prannoy will face the winner of the match between third seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia and Kantaphon Vengcharon of Thailand. Pranay has given India the first good news from England.

Backward after progress, then return
In the first round, Pranay was seen in amazing rhythm. He started strongly and took a one-sided lead of 11-4 till the break in the first game. After this, he made some mistakes, taking advantage of which Wang made the score 11-14. After this the competition became more exciting. Sometimes Pranay ahead and sometimes Wang. At one point the score was tied at 19-19. From here Prannoy grabbed a point and then won the first game with a smash.

From the beginning of the second game, there was a tough fight between the two. Wang was in an attacking mood right from the start and took a 7-2 lead. Prannoy then made a comeback and took a slight lead of 11-10 till the break. At one point the score was tied at 16-16. Prannoy grabbed the lead with two good returns, but Wang immediately equalized the score at 19-19. From here Pranay won the game and the match without making any mistake.
