A great catch by Aiden Markram. (IPL photo)
Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram may not be able to show the power of his bat and captaincy in IPL-2023, but he is constantly doing wonders with his fielding. In almost every match, he takes such catches which are not easy to catch. Markram caught a similar catch once on Saturday and sent Lucknow Super Giants stormy batsman Kyle Meyers to the pavilion.
Markram failed again with the bat against Lucknow. In this match, facing 20 balls, he scored 28 runs with the help of two fours and a six and was caught by wicketkeeper Quinton Dickock on the best ball of Krunal Pandya.
Pavilion returned to Meyers
Sunrisers were given the first blow in the fourth over. This team had got the wicket of Lucknow’s stalwart batsman Kyle Meyers. Glenn Phillips took his wicket. But Markram’s contribution was more in this. Phillips hits the middle stump.Mears tries to play it to mid-on. The ball was about to rip Markram standing at mid-on that this player dived to his right and took a spectacular catch with both hands.
With this, Meyers had to return disappointed. Meyers scored only two runs facing 14 balls. Meyers could have created trouble for the Hyderabad bowlers if he had stayed and set foot, but Markram’s catch did not allow him to do so.

disappointed with the bat
Sunrisers hoped that team captain Markram would show his bat and strengthen the team by batting brilliantly, but this South African batsman has not been able to do anything special so far this season. Out of the 10 matches played so far, only one half-century has come out of his bat. He scored this half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders. He has scored only 207 runs in 10 matches.
