After voting ends in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh today, voting will be left in only two states. Voting will be held in Rajasthan on 25th November and Telangana on 30th November. Today Congress Party released its manifesto for Telangana elections. Party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge was present in Hyderabad today to release the manifesto. Congress Party has announced a total of 6 guarantees in this newly formed state of South India. The party has named the manifesto as ‘Abhay Hastam’.

Big announcement for women and farmers
The party has announced that if voted to power, Congress will give Rs 2,500 per month to women. Apart from this, Congress has also made a populist promise of providing gas cylinders for Rs 500. Also, travel for women in state government buses will be free. Apart from women, the Congress party has also made a series of announcements for farmers in its manifesto. Congress has said that it will provide Rs 15,000 per acre assistance to farmers every year while agricultural laborers will be given Rs 12,000 every year if the party comes to power. The party also intends to implement the Griha Jyoti Yojana. Under this, Congress has promised to provide 200 units of free electricity to every family.
Students will get a card worth Rs 5 lakh!
Congress has announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to those who do not have a house to live in. With this money homeless people will be able to build their houses. The youth will also be given a financial assistance card of Rs 5 lakh which they can use for their studies and college fees. Congress has promised to give 250 square yards of land for building houses to those who are agitating and fighting for the demand of Telangana. The party has also said that it will also provide health insurance of Rs 10 lakh to the people. The party has also announced a pension of Rs 4000 per month for senior citizens, widows and disabled people.
Promise to increase reservation from 23% to 42%
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is also on a tour of Telangana today. Addressing a road show, he said, “KCR made the rule of one family. We want the rule of backward people, Dalits and tribals. Therefore, we are increasing the reservation in local bodies from 23% to 42%.”
