New Delhi: For the elections to be held in five states including Uttar Pradesh, the leaders continue to travel here and there. Meanwhile, former IPS (IPS) Asim Arun has joined BJP. UP BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh got him the membership of the party in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur. Asim Arun was posted as Commissioner of Police in Kanpur. Recently, he had announced his intention to join politics by resigning from his job. Now Asim Arun has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
After joining BJP, Asim Arun said that I am very happy today, I am satisfied. The BJP has a vision to develop a new leadership. They run it like a plan. I am also a part of this plan. I am very grateful to the party for giving me this opportunity. Also said that troubleshooting should be done under one system. Will work in whatever way the party says.
On joining BJP, former IPS Asim Arun, State President Swatantra Dev said that I heartily welcome an honest officer like Asim Arun. The coming of such officers to BJP will increase the stature of the party. Swatantra Dev said that I do not know why Aseem Arun ji joined the party but I know that coming with him will boost the morale of our youth.
It is being told that Aseem Arun can contest from Kannauj on a BJP ticket. Arun is a resident of Kannauj only. He has made his own identity in this field. Now in the electoral fray, they want to take full advantage of that identity and experience. Asim Arun’s father Late Shriram Arun has been DGP of Uttar Pradesh twice.
