New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday released the first list of 107 candidates for the first and second phases in view of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. These two phases of elections are going to be held on February 10 and 14 respectively. these The list was released by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh at a press conference in New Delhi.

however, Keeping the caste balance and wooing voters from different sections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded women in 10 seats, OBC candidates in 44 seats and Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates in 19 seats, which is a total of is 60 percent. BJP has 83 sitting MLAs in the list released and in total, 21 persons are new candidates in the list of 107 candidates released today.
If we talk about some prominent candidates included in this list- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur Assembly Constituency. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest from Sirathu in Prayagraj district.
Former Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya will contest from Agra Rural seat. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj Singh will again contest from Noida seat. Tejendra Singh Nirwal will contest from Shamli seat, Umesh Malik from Budhana, Sapna Kashyap from Charthwal, Pramod Utwal from Purkaji (SC), Kapidev Agarwal from Muzaffar Nagar, Vikram Saini from Khatauli.
Prashant Gurjar from Meerapur, Manendra Pal Singh from Siwalkhas, Sangeet Som from Sardhana, Dinesh Khatik from Hastinapur (SC), Satyaveer Tyagi from Kithor, Amit Agarwal from Meerut Cantt, Sahendra Singh Ramala from Chharapuli, Krishnapal Singh (KP Malik) from Baraut, Yogesh Dhama will contest from Baghpat, Nandkishore Gurjar from Loni, Ajit Pal Tyagi from Muradnagar, Sunil Sharma from Sahibabad and Atul Garg from Ghaziabad.
Significantly, voting for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will begin in seven phases from February 10.
Voting in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases on 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
Talking about the last elections, in the 2017 assembly elections, BJP had won 312 assembly seats. The party secured 39.67 per cent vote share in the elections to the 403-member assembly. Samajwadi Party (SP) got 47 seats, BSP won 19 seats, while Congress could win only seven seats.
