Mumbai: After the resignation of BJP MLA Swami Prasad Maurya in Uttar Pradesh, not only the electoral state, but the political mercury is suddenly rising across the country. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has given a big statement after Maurya left the BJP and joined the Samajwadi Party.
Pawar has claimed that Change is about to come in Uttar Pradesh, today Swami Prasad Maurya resigned and spoke of supporting the Samajwadi Party and along with him 13 MLAs are going to join the Samajwadi Party.
After Swami Prasad Maurya, two other BJP MLAs have resigned from the party. According to the information received, BJP MLAs Bhagwati Sagar and Brijesh Prajapati have also resigned from the party.
According to sources, BJP MLA Bhagwati Sagar from Bilhaur in Kanpur and Brijesh Prajapati, BJP MLA from Tindwari in Banda have resigned and will join the Samajwadi Party like Swami Prasad Maurya.
Along with this, BJP MLA from Tilhar Assembly Roshan Lal Verma can also leave the party and join the Samajwadi Party. Roshan Lal Verma left the BSP and joined the BJP in 2017.
However, after the resignation of Swami Prasad Maurya, Keshav Prasad Maurya tweeted saying that for what reasons Prasad resigned, I do not know. There is an appeal to them to sit and talk, decisions taken in haste often prove to be wrong.
Earlier, the cabinet minister in the UP government, Swami Prasad Maurya has resigned. In his letter sent to the Governor, Swami Prasad Maurya wrote, “As the Minister of Labor and Employment and Coordination in the cabinet of Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji, despite living in adverse circumstances and ideology, he has discharged the responsibility with great dedication but I resign from the cabinet of Uttar Pradesh due to the grossly neglectful attitude of Dalits, backward farmers, unemployed youth and small-small and medium-scale traders.
After the news of Maurya’s resignation, SP President Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, “Swami Prasad Maurya ji, a popular leader who fought for social justice and equality and all the other leaders, workers and supporters who came with him, in SP. Warm welcome and greetings! There will be revolution of social justice~ There will be a change in twenty-two.
