Lucknow: With the announcement of the date of elections in UP, the round of leaders moving from one party to another has started. On Tuesday, 4 leaders including minister Swami Prasad Maurya in the UP government resigned from the BJP, and today the UP government minister Dara Singh Chauhan also resigned. With this, another big leader Atwar Singh Bhadana has also been disillusioned with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Dara Singh is an MLA from Madhuban assembly seat in Mau district. In a letter sent to the Governor, he has accused the Yogi government of ignoring the Dalits, backward and youth.
Dara Singh Chouhan said, “As the Minister of Forest, Environment and Animal Horticulture in the cabinet of Honorable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, I worked wholeheartedly for the betterment of my department, but the government’s backwards, deprived, dalits, farmers and unemployed I resign from the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, being hurt by the gross neglectful attitude of the youth as well as the reservations being played with backwards and dalits.
However, the leaders who leave the party come to know in the election season itself that the ideology of the party in which they were stuck for so long is now different from theirs. Giving information by tweeting, RLD National President Jayant Chaudhary said that only former MP and senior leader Avtar Singh Bhadana joined RLD.
It is not that only leaders are leaving BJP and going to other parties, but some leaders of other parties are also liking BJP. Congress MLA from Behat (Saharanpur) Naresh Saini, Sirsaganj (Firozabad) MLA Hari Om Yadav and former SP MLA Dr Dharampal Singh joined BJP today in the presence of senior Uttar Pradesh BJP leaders in Delhi.
The biggest name among them is Hari Om Yadav, as he is the samadhi of SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and his inclusion in BJP is being seen as an answer to break Swami Prasad Maurya.
At the same time, Congress MLAs Masood Akhtar and Imran Masood, who were among the most loyal faces of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, both left their hands and considered riding a bicycle in the election season.
On leaving the Congress, MLA Masood Akhtar said, “We demanded an alliance (with the Samajwadi Party), but it could not happen. There is a direct fight between SP and BJP, so Imran Masood and I have decided to join Samajwadi Party. We have sought time from Akhilesh Yadav to join us today.”
