The case of ‘questions for cash’ allegation against Trinamool Congress MP from West Bengal Mahua Moitra is gaining momentum. After the allegations made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, the matter has reached the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha. At present this committee is reviewing this entire matter. Meanwhile, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s reaction on this entire matter has come to light on Friday.
When Union Minister Dharmendra Mantri was asked about the allegation of cash-for-questions against Mahua Moitra, he said, there is no place for bribery in the parliamentary process. This matter is before the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee. The committee is doing its work. The Ethics Committee is a competent committee, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha has given it this task, so first it should do its work.

In fact, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has recently written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and made serious allegations against Mahua Moitra. The BJP MP has claimed that he has taken cash from a businessman named Darshan Hiranandani for asking questions in the Parliament in Moitra. He also requested the Lok Sabha Speaker to get the matter investigated.

Defamation case filed against Mahua Moitra
Mahua Moitra has also filed a defamation case in the Delhi High Court on October 18 against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Jai Anant Dehadrai and many others. Supreme Court lawyer Anant Dehadrai was considered close to Mahua Moitra. However, at present there is a rift between the two regarding some issue.
Odisha BJP also attacked
On the other hand, the Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday also targeted the state’s ruling party Biju Janata Dal MP Pinaki Mishra over the allegations against TMC MP Mahua Moitra. Odisha BJP leader Manoj Mahapatra said that while showing a picture of Mishra and TMC MP, he asked what is the reason behind the closeness between the two leaders.
