A final agreement has been reached between SP and RLD in Uttar Pradesh regarding seat sharing for the Lok Sabha elections, but the picture is not yet clear with Congress. Congress has planned to contest at least 20 seats out of the total 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP, but SP is in a mood to give it only 12 to 15 seats. Despite this, Congress is making preparations for the 2024 elections at its own level. Congress has made a strategy to place its old leaders with new and young faces. PL Punia has been contesting elections from Barabanki Lok Sabha seat till now, but his son Tanuj Punia is preparing to contest elections in 2024. Tanuj Punia is being described as a possible Lok Sabha candidate in Barabanki area, whose hoardings are also put up. In such a situation, till now former minister Salman Khurshid has been contesting the Farrukhabad seat, but this time Kaushalendra Yadav, son of former MLA Suresh Yadav and state general secretary of the party, has won the election. Hoardings and posters have been put up in Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency as possible candidates of Congress.

Congress is now preparing to field Purvi Verma, who left SP and joined the party, in place of Naqvi. Congress has given the green signal to give ticket from Lakhimpur seat to Purvi Verma, who is the daughter of veteran leader and former MP Ravi Verma. He has a strong hold in Lakhimpur Kheri area. That is why Congress has made a strategy to field his daughter Purvi Verma in the election field, for which they have put up posters in Kheri area.
Young face can get candidature in Prayagraj
Efforts are being made to contest elections for Rakesh Rathore in Sitapur, while there is talk of Pramod Tiwari’s second daughter contesting elections from Pratapgarh also. Apart from this, SP is also trying to field a young face from Prayagraj. Congress wants to solve the political equation with a new head through these leaders.
