Kumar Gaurav, New Delhi: Seeking the support of the minority community ahead of the assembly elections in five states, the Muslim wing of the RSS, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), said the BJP is the biggest “well-wisher” of Muslims.
Rashtriya Muslim Manch has prepared a request letter for Muslim voters, which it will distribute door-to-door in UP. The work of Modi Yogi government was mentioned in the booklet of Muslim Manch and appealed to Muslim voters to vote for Yogi and BJP government. In the booklet, it has been said that the government has given Muslim women the right to live freely by enacting a law on triple talaq.
Speaking to the media, MRM’s national convener Shahid Sayeed said, “Around 400 hardworking workers will work with the BJP to reach out to the Muslim voters. These workers will be led by seven other differently-nominated members. They are all different members of the RSS. Heads of departments.” He announced that there would be public awareness programs on all the work done by the Yogi-Modi government.
“The saffron party is the biggest well-wisher of the Muslim community,” Saeed said.
During the meeting, RSS leader Indresh Kumar issued an ‘appeal letter’ listing the various schemes implemented by the BJP governments and states for the welfare of the Muslim community. This “appeal letter” will be distributed in all the electoral states.
Shalini Ali, seven member team including National Convener Women’s Wing, Bilal Ur Rehman, President Madrasa Board and Convener Hindustan First, Hindustani Best, Dr Imran Choudhary, UP State Convenor, Hafiz Sabreen, Convener Delhi States, Oncologist Dr Majid Talikoti, National Convener In-Charge Karnataka, Khurshid Razakka, former President Mewat Development Board and National Convener of MRM Youth Wing and Nish Jafri, MRM UP activist will lead 400 workers.
Assembly elections will be held in Uttar Pradesh in 7 phases from February 10 to March 7, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa will go to polls on February 14 and Manipur will go to polls on February 27 and March 3.
Counting of votes in all the states will take place on March 10.
