Rajgarh Laxmangarh Legislative Assembly Seat
All the political parties have become active regarding the assembly elections in Rajasthan and have started their respective campaign campaigns. There are 11 assembly seats in Alwar district of the state, out of which Congress holds 7 seats. Whereas Bharatiya Janata Party had won on 2 seats. Congress had won the Rajgarh-Laxmangarh seat of Alwar district. The process of announcing candidates for the voting to be held in Rajasthan on November 25 is going on, but neither Congress nor BJP has decided their candidates for the reserved seats for Scheduled Tribes.
How many voters, how much population
If we look at the election results of Rajgarh-Laxmangarh seat in the 2018 assembly elections, Johari Lal Meena of Congress had won. Johri Lal Meena got 82,876 votes while Bharatiya Janata Party’s Vijay Samarth Lal got 52,578 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party also presented a tough challenge and its candidate Banna Ram Meena secured 28,199 votes. Johri Lal Meena won by a margin of 30,298 (17.9%) votes.
In the then elections, the total number of voters in Rajgarh-Laxmangarh assembly seat was 2,35,892, in which the number of male voters was 1,25,932 and the number of female voters was 1,09,960. Out of this, a total of 1,69,426 (72.3%) voters cast their votes. In the election, 1,222 (0.5%) votes were cast in favor of NOTA.
How was the political history?
If we talk about the political history of Rajgarh-Laxmangarh assembly seat reserved for ST, 3 different parties have won in the last 3 elections. The big thing is that in the last 3 elections, Bharatiya Janata Party has not won even once. Johari Lal Meena of Congress had won the 2018 elections.

Whereas in the 2013 assembly elections, Golma of the National People’s Party (NPEP) got a landslide victory. Earlier in the 2008 elections, Suraj Bhan of Samajwadi Party had won. Suraj Bhan defeated Johari Lal of Congress by a margin of just 937 votes.

The position of Congress is considered good in Rajgarh-Laxmangarh assembly seat reserved for Scheduled Tribes. This area is a Meena dominated area and is also known as Meena Vati. Apart from Meena, many communities including SC, Brahmin, Mali as well as Meo, Muslim, Jat and Gurjar have a big vote bank and play a decisive role in the elections.
