Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is on a 3-day visit to Punjab, where he is continuously holding different meetings and discussing various efforts to strengthen the organization. On Thursday, a meeting of the All India Group of Volunteers was held at Jalandhar Vidya Dham in Punjab. In this meeting, 20 big faces of RSS from across the country participated along with Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale.
The issue of strengthening the organization in Punjab was discussed in this meeting and the report of the spread of RSS from the chief managers of Punjab was also a topic of discussion during this meeting. Along with Punjab, officials from Haryana and Himachal Pradesh were also called in the meetings, but the main focus remained on Punjab.
The martyrdom festival of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji will be celebrated on 17th December in all the branches of RSS in Punjab. Apart from this, there was a serious discussion in the presence of Mohan Bhagwat regarding which festivals and days are to be celebrated throughout the year. A provincial meeting was held on Friday in the presence of Mohan Bhagwat.
A big Hindu vote bank in Punjab
District level workers and booth level members including the Chief of Punjab also participated in this meeting. In this meeting, mainly the work of strengthening its hold from cities to villages and taking the work of the Sangh to the people was discussed. Lok Sabha elections are to be held next year and RSS will play an important role in 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab because there is a big Hindu vote bank in Punjab. For this reason, Mohan Bhagwat discussed with RSS officials about Punjab to further strengthen the hold of the organization at the ground level and strengthen it in the villages as well as in the cities.
Mohan Bhagwat also met Gurinder Singh Dhillon
On Friday, the last day of his Punjab tour, Mohan Bhagwat also met Gurinder Singh Dhillon, head of Radha Swami Satsang Dera Beas of Amritsar. This meeting of the Sangh is considered very important for Punjab before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Sangh has a special focus on Punjab after BJP’s victory in three states. After separating from Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab, Bharatiya Janata Party had contested Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election, but did not get better results in it and now for the first time in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP is preparing to contest 13 Lok Sabha seats on its own in Punjab.
