Congress had released its first list for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections on October 15, in this list of 30 candidates, the party had expressed confidence in all its ministers. In the list of 30 candidates, there were 19 seats for which elections are to be held in the first phase. In this list, the names of all the ministers including CM Bhupesh Baghel, TS Singh Deo were there, out of which the seat of only one minister was changed, this minister is Guru Rudra Kumar, whom this time the party has fielded from Navagarh instead of Ahiwara. In this list, tickets of 8 sitting MLAs were cut, after which it was believed that the party could give a chance to new faces.

Tickets of 30 percent sitting MLAs canceled
