BSP chief Mayawati
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leaders are surprised by the call of former Chief Minister Mayawati. He talked to many leaders engaged in election duty. This sequence started from Saturday evening. Mayawati called many BSP leaders till Sunday afternoon. He questioned most of the people regarding the opinion poll. She wants to know whether what is being told in the polls and surveys is the same situation on the ground. Most of the agencies are predicting a tough contest between BJP and Congress in the elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
BSP chief Mayawati has been rejecting every kind of survey till now. She also considers the results of opinion polls as propaganda. However, this time the matter is a little different. A BSP MP said that this time a survey has also been conducted by the party. Mayawati is assuming that no one may get majority in MP and Rajasthan. If this happens then BSP may win lottery.
Mayawati waits for good news
The former Chief Minister feels that if no party gets absolute majority, he may get a chance to become ‘kingmaker’. There has been no good news for them for a long time. Who knows, the keys to power may fall into their hands in these elections. By the way, he got the opportunity in the last elections of Rajasthan also. But his decision to support Congress from outside broke the morale of the party MLAs. Then all the 6 BSP MLAs later joined Congress. Not only this, this MLA also became a minister in the Ashok Gehlot government. Amidst all this, Mayawati neither found Maya nor Ram. Mayawati just kept cursing Congress.
Taking a lesson from the incident in Rajasthan, Mayawati has changed her stand in this election. In the year 2018, all the 6 BSP MLAs left the party and joined Congress. Mayawati had taken this matter to the Supreme Court. But he did not get relief there either. This time Mayawati has already announced that BSP will no longer support anyone from outside. BSP will join the government if needed. With this decision, only Mayawati will have control over the party’s MLAs.
MP Elections: Triangular contest on 50 seats, will BJP suffer from SP-BSP and AAP?
On the other hand, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Rahul Gandhi are busy in election campaign. But Mayawati has not even opened the account of her election rally yet. Whereas now only 10 days are left for MP assembly elections. Mayawati is now starting the election campaign from MP on 6th November. He has two rallies that day. His first meeting is in Ashok Nagar district. While the second election meeting is in Niwari. A BSP leader said that Mayawati plans to hold 8 public meetings each in MP and Rajasthan.
BSP contesting elections with GGP in MP
Mayawati, who has announced to contest the Lok Sabha elections alone, has also made an alliance for the MP elections. There is electoral coordination between Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP) and BSP in the elections of MP and Chhattisgarh. According to the agreement, BSP is contesting on 178 seats and GGP is contesting on 52 seats. BSP’s best performance so far in MP has been in 2008. Then BSP had won 7 seats in that election. After that, in the 2013 elections the party had to be content with 4 seats. Only 2 BSP MLAs were elected in the last elections.

This time, BSP in collaboration with GGP is focusing on 16 percent Dalit and 21 percent tribal voters. Mayawati hopes that in the event of a hung assembly, the key to power can come into her hands. In the Gwalior meeting, Amit Shah had asked BJP leaders to help the candidates of Samajwadi Party and BSP. Their strategy behind this is to divide anti-BJP votes, which may cause loss to Congress.
