Three injured in the attack
Congress candidate Jyoti Patel and his supporters had a dispute with the local people at Gunjaura Tiraha in Garhakota, after which the people of the locality vandalized the vehicles of the Congressmen. Three people have been injured in the attack. One of these has been referred to Sagar. There is an atmosphere of tension in the area after the dispute. Collector and SP also reached the spot. As a precaution, more than 100 police forces have been deployed there. The video of the attack is also being circulated on the internet media, in which miscreants are seen vandalizing vehicles with sticks in their hands.
In fact, at around 5.30 pm on Saturday evening, Congress candidate from Rahli Jyoti Patel had gone to her supporter’s house in Gunjaura locality along with Mintu Chaura, who had recently joined Congress from BJP, and other supporters. Other Congress workers were also present with him in four four-wheeler vehicles. Meanwhile, there was a dispute with the people of the locality over some issue, after which the local people attacked the four-wheelers parked outside the house with sticks and rods. Some Congressmen who came to intervene were also beaten up.

Somehow Jyoti Patel saved her life
For a long time the attackers continued abusing and causing vandalism. Jyoti Patel saved her life by running inside the house. Jyoti Patel also made a video of vandalism taking place in vehicles on her mobile and blamed BJP candidate Gopal Bhargava, his brother Shriram and son Abhishek Bhargava for being behind this attack. Gadhakota police also reached the spot, which chased away the attackers from there. After this, additional forces from nearby police stations including the district headquarters were also called to the spot.

DM, SP reached the spot
In the evening, Collector Deepak Arya and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari also reached the spot. About three people have been injured in the attack. One injured person has been referred to Sagar. The process of writing an FIR in this incident continued till late night. Additional Superintendent of Police Lokesh Sinha, SDOP Rahli, SDM and other officers were present on the spot. The police continued to identify the attackers seen in the video. The accused are being searched vigorously. This entire matter is being linked to the controversy that took place during voting in the assembly elections held on Friday.
