Korutla Assembly Seat
The election campaign for the assembly elections in Telangana is gaining momentum. The ruling Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (earlier Telangana Rashtra Samithi) as well as Congress and BJP have fielded almost all their candidates in the state. Everyone’s eyes are on the voting to be held on November 30. BJP is busy making big bets here with many big faces. Korutla assembly seat has also become high profile because here BJP has fielded Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri. BRS has given ticket to Dr. Sanjay Kalvakuntla in front of him while JN Rao is in the fray from Congress side. Korutla seat is currently with BRS.
How many voters, how much population
In the 2018 elections, BRS leader K Vidyasagar Rao had won the Korutla assembly seat. Vidyasagar Rao got 84,605 votes while JN Rao of Congress got 53,385 votes. BJP had got 16,046 votes. Vidyasagar Rao won this election battle by a margin of 31,220 (19.3%) votes.
In the then elections, there were a total of 1,86,704 voters in Korutla assembly seat. In which the number of male voters was 90,464 and the number of female voters was 96,238. Out of this, a total of 1,61,440 (87.8%) voters cast their votes. 2,426 (1.3%) votes were cast for NOTA.

How was the political history?
If we look at the political history of Korutla assembly seat, Vidyasagar Rao has scored a hat-trick of electoral victories by winning 3 consecutive elections on this seat. In 2018, BRS (earlier TRS) won. Earlier, in the 2014 elections also, Vidyasagar Rao of TRS had won. Vidyasagar Rao was victorious in 2009 also.
