Congress has today released its third list of candidates for the Goa Assembly elections. Former state minister Michael Lobo, who recently decided to quit the BJP and join the Congress, will contest from Calangute. Let us tell you that Michael Lobo, who was a minister in Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s cabinet, had quit the BJP to join the Congress almost a week before the notification of the assembly elections.
Michael Lobo is one of the strongmen of North Goa. Lobo was the Minister of Science, Technology and Waste Management in the BJP-led Goa government. Joining the Congress, Lobo had said, “Voters told me that the BJP is no longer a party of the common people.” He said that Congress is working for the common people. She will return to power with more than 25 seats. Please tell that his wife Delilah, the sarpanch of Para, also left the BJP and joined the Congress.
