Gehlot’s statement unfortunate and shameful: Rajendra Rathod
While reacting to Gehlot’s statement, Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Singh Rathore said that CM Gehlot’s statement about the rise in incidents of murder after rape with the provision of capital punishment is unfortunate and shameful. The chief minister, who heads the home department, cannot escape his government’s failure to address the rising rape cases in the state with absurd statements.
He further said that the statistics of NCRB and police are shouting that Rajasthan ranks first in the country in rape cases and every year around 2000 girl rape cases are reported in Rajasthan. From January 2020 to January 2022, 4091 cases have been registered under the POCSO Act.

Rajasthan has become the center of atrocities of innocent girls: Shekhawat
Rathod said that Gehlot has told 48% of rape cases to be false and is repeatedly doing the act of boosting the morale of the brutal rapists instead of breaking the morale, the only question is that the Home Minister is the only one to raid the criminals by telling the rape cases to be false. If the carpet is laid, then what will be the form of police investigation?
On the other hand, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said on Gehlot’s statement that Ashok Gehlot’s statement is unfortunate, in the last 3 years Rajasthan has become the center of atrocities on young innocent girls, to hide their failures, those who change the subject by making controversial statements. Nothing could be more unfortunate than this.
