Even after a year, the minister continues to hold the post due to the conservation of power. The trial has been sluggish and the families of the victims are disappointed.

He tweeted and said, ‘The Lakhimpur farmer massacre has exposed the anti-farmer face of the BJP government. Even after a year, the minister remains in the post due to the protection of power. Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh told reporters, “It has been one year since the Lakhimpur Kheri massacre. A year ago many farmers were killed. A minister of the Modi government was involved in this conspiracy. Even today he is a member of the Council of Ministers. He also said that Congress once again supports all the demands of United Kisan Morcha including legal guarantee of minimum support price.

Modi government has failed to give economic justice to the farmers…Modi government is increasing the role of private companies in agriculture sector. This is a very worrying thing.
