New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its first list of candidates for the assembly elections in UP starting from March 10. In this first list of 142 candidates, tickets of many former MLAs have been cut. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who came to release the list, said that the voters of UP, around 15 crore, will use their vote within two months and strengthen democracy.
The list which has been released by BJP includes the candidates of first and second phase. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that 57 seats out of a total of 58 in the first phase and 48 out of 55 seats in the second phase have been announced. The names of the remaining candidates are being discussed in these two seats and the final decision on this will be taken by the Central Committee soon.
He said that two major seats, in which Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur city and Keshav Prasad Maurya from Sirathu in Prayagraj will be the candidates, even after not being held in the first and second phases.
Let us inform that the assembly elections in UP starting from February 10 will be completed in 7 phases. First of all, votes will be cast in the state on February 10. After this, polling will be held on February 14, February 20, February 23, February 27, March 3 and March 7. Along with this, the result will be released on March 10.
