BJP took to the streets on Friday and demonstrated on the issue of arrest of Minister Jyotipriya Mallik in the ration corruption case in West Bengal. On Friday, BJP had called for Food Building campaign. During the Khadya Bhawan campaign, BJP supporters showed their shoes and smeared flour on the face of the policeman deployed to handle the protesters. However, TMC has completely rejected BJP’s allegations of corruption.
Let us tell you that the BJP delegation wanted to go to Food Bhawan and submit a memorandum, but the police stopped the BJP procession before it could enter Food Bhawan. When the police put up barricades on the road, a ruckus broke out.
BJP workers and supporters participating in the procession got into an altercation with the policemen. Amidst the clash with the police, BJP workers tried to break the barricade. BJP raised demand for resignation of Jyotipriya Mallik from the cabinet.

There was an uproar regarding the Food Building campaign. During the clash with the police, BJP workers targeted the police. Slogans were raised in the procession alleging ‘ration loot’. BJP workers and supporters participating in the procession started protesting by lifting their shoes outside Food Bhavan.
After his arrest in the ration corruption case, former Food Minister and current Forest Minister Jyotipray Mallik is now in ED custody. The BJP march demanded that not only Jyotipriya Mallik but all the people involved in it should be arrested immediately.
Trinamool Congress told the story of corruption allegations
On the other hand, Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that no corruption has come to light, what has come to light is nothing but a story.
Let us tell you that recently many leaders of the ruling camp of the state have been arrested. Partha Chatterjee has been arrested in the recruitment corruption case. Anubrata Mandal was arrested in the cow smuggling case. Recently Jyotipriya Mallik was arrested in the ration corruption case.
Countering CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury’s comment, Kunal said, “Corruption has not come to light one after the other. Two-four stories have come to light. And people are being reminded how the real corruptions of the CPM era were hidden.
