BJP gave tickets to these Union Ministers and MPs
- Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar
- Union Minister Prahlad Patel
- Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste
- MP Ganesh Singh
- MP Rakesh Singh
- MP Reeti Pathak
- MP Uday Pratap Singh
Why was Rakesh Singh given ticket from Jabalpur West Assembly?
MP and Chief Whip in Lok Sabha Rakesh Singh was made the candidate from West Assembly of Jabalpur. This is a strong seat of Congress. BJP is losing the West seat for two consecutive elections. Former Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot is the MLA from this seat. Rakesh Singh is a four-time MP from Jabalpur. Before VD Sharma, he had also been the state president of BJP. Congress leader Vivek Tankha was defeated in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BJP must be feeling somewhere that if it gives ticket to someone other than Rakesh Singh, then it may be difficult to win this seat.
Prahlad Singh Patel from Narsinghpur seat
Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has been made the candidate from Narsinghpur seat. Jalam Singh Patel is currently the MLA from this seat. Jalam Singh is the younger brother of Prahlad Patel.
