Bari Sadri Assembly Seat
The ruling Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have started preparations at their respective levels for the assembly elections in Rajasthan. Political movements have also increased in Chittorgarh district of the state. There are 5 assembly seats under the district, in which 3 seats are with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while 2 seats were won by Congress. BJP is in control of a large number of seats.
How many voters, how much population
In the 2018 assembly elections, there was a contest between BJP and Congress on Badi Sadri seat. BJP’s Lalit Kumar Ostwal got 97,111 votes while Congress’s Prakash Chaudhary got 88,301 votes. Lalit Kumar won the election by a margin of 8,810 (4.4%) votes.
In the then elections, the total number of voters in Badi Sadri assembly seat was 2,47,930 in which the number of male voters was 1,26,125 and the number of female voters was 1,21,800. Out of this, a total of 1,98,015 (81.3%) voters cast their votes. 3,563 votes were cast in favor of NOTA.
How was the political history?
If we talk about the political history of Badi Sadri assembly seat, it is currently held by BJP. But in the 2008 elections, Prakash Chandra Chaudhary of Congress had won here and he defeated Bheru Singh Chauhan of BJP. But in the 2013 elections, BJP won this seat.

BJP’s Gautam Kumar defeated Prakash Chandra Chaudhary by more than 17 thousand votes. In the 2018 elections, Prakash Chandra was again defeated and BJP’s Lalit Kumar Ostwal won the election. BJP has been winning from a large number of seats continuously in the last two elections. This time its effort is to score a hat-trick of election victory whereas Congress would like to win from here again after 10 years.
