After the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhatt, Congress supported Omar Abdullah’s statement, fiercely surrounded the central government

New Delhi: After the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhatt, the atmosphere in the valley is heated. Meanwhile, National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah has lashed out at the BJP-led government at the Center after this murder. Now Congress has supported Abdullah in this matter. The Congress defended Abdullah, accusing the BJP of failing to protect the country’s minorities.

In this regard, Congress spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said, “I think he (Omar Abdullah) meant to say that BJP has failed to protect minorities after coming to power. Even Rahul Bhat’s wife said that they Have failed to protect. Many people have been killed, there is BJP at the Center and MHA is controlling J&K.”

The Congress leader said, “They (Kashmiri Pandits) are asking why they are being made scapegoats. They indicated that people have hope, but you cannot satisfy them by showing them films. We demand protection of minorities. These killings are targeted and need to be stopped.”

‘Where is the sense of security?’: Omar Abdullah

On 14 May, while addressing a public meeting, Omar Abdullah reiterated the central government’s words in 2019 that (the BJP had said) abrogation of the Article would bring peace and prosperity to the Valley, and asked “What happened to the promises? “

He said, “The situation is in front of you..They are entering houses and killing your brothers…Yesterday, one of our brothers (Riyaz Ahmed Thakor) was killed inside his house, why? Because He was wearing a police uniform… Is this security, is this the promise of peace? Just 24 hours before that, one of our brothers (Rahul Bhat) had come back to Kashmir to work under the PM’s plan. .. His family was in Budgam, they were posted in Chadoora, terrorists entered the tehsil office and shot them, killed them… Where is the security, peace?”
