At the same time, according to Malaria Officer AK Singh, the mosquitoes caught by the department have been sent to the National Malaria Research Center for investigation on suspicion of having Zika parasites. Actually, the outbreak of Zika increased at the same time last year. Due to the suspicion of Zika virus, Aedes mosquitoes have been packed in a certain temperature and sent to the research center.
Actually, mosquitoes were caught from areas of Kanpur city where Zika outbreak was at its peak last time. District Malaria Officer Arun Kumar Singh told that the virus of Zika, Dengue, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever Mayaro will be detected through these Aedes mosquitoes in the institute. The outbreak of mosquitoes is increasing in Kanpur. In such a situation, knowing the reality of the budget of the Municipal Corporation, the Municipal Corporation drank the mosquito repellent Malathion, diesel petrol worth Rs 52 lakh in 30 days to kill the mosquitoes.
