Rajkumar Anand and Arvind Kejriwal
While the heat of Delhi liquor scam has reached the doorstep of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, files of his leaders are also being opened before the ED. On one hand, the agency has sent summons to CM Kejriwal to appear, meanwhile, early this morning, an ED team also reached the house of one of his ministers, Rajkumar Anand. Rajkumar Anand is a respected minister. He has faced many challenges throughout his life. Rajkumar Anand holds many departments in Delhi government. He has the responsibility of Social Welfare, Labour, Employment, Scheduled Caste/Tribe Welfare, Land and Building, Cooperative and Gurudwara Election departments.
Today, even though Rajkumar Anand is handling important ministries in the Delhi government, his life has gone through many challenges. Born in poverty, Rajkumar Anand’s parents sent him to live with his maternal grandparents in Aligarh. His maternal grandfather used to work as a scrap dealer. His studies were also affected due to financial crisis. Rajkumar Anand also worked in a lock making factory while living in Aligarh during his childhood. Despite these obstacles, AAP leader Rajkumar Anand stood firm and paid his fees with the money he earned from teaching tuition. He obtained MA degree.

Join India Against Corruption
When the Anna movement took place in the country against corruption, it was at that time that Prince Anand came close to Arvind Kejriwal. He played an active role in the movement. After this, after the formation of Aam Aadmi Party, he joined the party. For the first time in 2020, he was elected MLA from Patel Nagar assembly constituency. He was made a minister a year ago itself, in November 2022. The department which Rajkumar Anand is currently handling was earlier held by Rajendra Pal Gautam. But Rajendra Pal, surrounded by controversies, had to resign from his post.
