The US Consulate General in Mumbai has received a bomb threat. After getting information about this threat received through email, Mumbai Police has registered a case against unknown person under relevant sections. With the help of the IP address of the email sender, the police has started searching for him. This threat was sent two days ago to the embassy office located in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. According to Bandra Kurla Complex Police, information was given by the Consulate General of America on February 9.
It was told that at 3.50 am a threatening mail has been sent to the official ID of the embassy from the email ID email@example.com. In this, the sender, calling himself a fugitive from America, has threatened to blow up the embassy. Not only this, the accused has also threatened to blow up the American Consulate. In this email it has been said that American citizens have been killed on a large scale. Police said that the person sending the email has not been identified yet.
Police searching for the accused through IP address
In such a situation, the police is trying to identify the accused by finding out the IP address of the computer from which this threat was sent. In this sequence, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections of intimidation and started investigating the matter.
