Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has filed nomination from Sardarpura seat of Jodhpur for Rajasthan Assembly elections. But a controversy has arisen over his election affidavit. Bharatiya Janata Party made big allegations against him. BJP says that Gehlot has not given information about two criminal cases in the election affidavit. For this he has written a letter to the Election Commission.
Let us tell you that BJP has termed both these allegations as serious and has demanded the Election Commission to reject Gehlot’s nomination. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that Gehlot deliberately did not give information about the FIR in the election affidavit. The two allegations against him are quite serious. Gehlot had full knowledge of the cases but he did not mention it in the affidavit.
Ashok Gehlot ji has not given information about two serious criminal cases in his nomination form for Sardarpura seat.
This makes the nomination incomplete/doubtful and also creates a criminal case. Today, after giving information to the Chief Election Commissioner in this regard, an objection was also lodged through legal means. pic.twitter.com/vxSIX7r98M

Shekhawat further said that the first case against him is related to land scam and the second is related to crimes like robbery and rape. He did not mention both these matters in the election affidavit. Shekhawat said that we have complained to the Election Commission that they should take cognizance of this entire matter and take legal action against them.

Its complete report has been sought. After receiving the report, we will investigate this entire matter. However, there has been no reaction from CM Gehlot regarding this entire matter.
