New Delhi: The whole of North India is shivering with severe cold these days. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (MID) has issued an alert regarding rain in the eastern areas of the country due to western disturbances. Western Disturbance is moving towards the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. Due to this, there is a forecast of rain in these areas. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding rain in these states till January 13.
According to Skymet Weather, one cyclonic circulation lies over South West Bay of Bengal and another over North Konkan and adjoining areas. The effect of the weather conditions being created in Bihar is likely to persist for the next two days. During this time there is a possibility of cloudy sky and rain with thunder. According to the Meteorological Department, special conditions are being created in the southern region of the state. Due to this, the sky is expected to remain cloudy for two days with a slight increase in cold due to rain.
Apart from this, isolated light rain is possible over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to Skymet Weather, moderate to dense fog is possible in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. Also it may rain.
According to Skymet Weather, the Western Disturbance is moving towards East. A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over North Haryana and adjoining parts of Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Due to which change in weather is possible.
