New Delhi: North India including the national capital Delhi is witnessing the orgy of winter due to the fall in the temperature. The pace of life is trembling with the increasing cold. Some states of southern India are witnessing the outbreak of rain. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain warning in some areas.
According to the IMD, a warning of light to moderate rain and severe cold conditions has been issued for the next three-four days in states like UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. The weather forecast agency said that during January 21-23, there is a possibility of rain in the western Himalayan region.
There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh on January 22. Apart from this, rain warning has been issued in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during 21-23 January with maximum intensity on 22 January.
On January 22, there is a possibility of thunderstorms along with lightning in the region. In the northeast, the Met Office has predicted rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during January 20-22.
Dense to very dense fog is predicted over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during the next 2 days.
According to the department, there is a possibility of cold days to severe winters in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during the next three days. During the next 2 days, the condition of cold days will become less over some parts of North Madhya Pradesh and over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan during next 24 hours.
