New Delhi: For the last one week, almost all parts of North India including Delhi-NCR have been experiencing severe cold. Due to which common life has been greatly affected. Even today, there will be no significant change in the weather in all the areas including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. For the time being, the outbreak of cold will continue even further. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has forecast dense to very dense fog in the night and morning in Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in the coming days.
On the other hand, the plains of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand are likely to remain generally cloudy with the possibility of very light rain and snow till January 19. While light to moderate snowfall will continue in the higher reaches. Meanwhile, the IMD has also issued a rain alert in many areas of East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of three consecutive Western Disturbances or Western Disturbance near the Western Himalayas between January 16 and 21. Due to this, there may be scattered rain and snow over the Himalayas. Which will also have an effect in the plains.
There is a possibility of scattered or moderate rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe during the next four to five days. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain and thundershowers in isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on January 19 and 20.
