New Delhi. Voter ID card is one of the most important documents issued by the government. It is also known as an election card issued by the Election Commission of India. But you do not need to take any tension, because today we are going to tell you the online way to change the address in Voter Id, with the help of which you can change the address sitting at home. So let’s know the step-by-step process to change the address in Voter ID:
First of all you have to log on to National Voters Service Portal www.nvsp.in.
– If you have moved to any other constituency, you can click on Form 6 under Online Application for Registration of New Voter.
If you have moved from one place of residence to another within the same constituency, click on Form 8A.
Now after login, you go to the ‘Correction of entries in electoral roll’ section.
Now a new page will open here and you will see Form 8, on which you have to click.
While clicking, you will see an option for correction in Voter ID card.
Now you have to fill the information given below in the form, in which fill your address while filling all the mandatory details including your name, date of birth, state, constituency, current permanent address.
After filling all the details, you will have to upload some documents, which will include Aadhar card or license card as address proof.
– If you want any change in any detail, then you have to select it, if you want to change the address, then select the tab of the address and change the information related to the address.
Now you have to submit your mobile number or email address submit.
After the verification is done in a short time, your voter ID card will be sent.
After changing the information, you will also get a reference number, through which you can track the status of your voter card.
