Aligarh University of Uttar Pradesh has been in the news for a long time for its connection with terrorist organizations. In this sequence, once again ATS has arrested four students. ATS has received inputs about the connection of these students with the terrorist organization ISIS. Recently two more students were caught from here. After the arrest of these students, about a dozen students were on the radar of ATS.
UP ATS claims that suspicious students attend the meetings of the Students Union of AMU and from here, groups are formed on a large scale to carry out terrorist incidents across the country. These days, some anti-national forces were trying to carry out a major incident on the occasion of Diwali. After getting sufficient input in this regard, ATS raided and arrested these students. During the interrogation of ATS, these students have also given the names of some teachers. Said that he used to support him.

At present, ATS has informed the university administration in this regard. However, the AMU administration has not yet taken any action in this matter. According to UP ATS, the arrested students are associated with Aligarh module. They have been arrested from different areas. A statement in this regard has been issued from ATS Headquarters. It has been told that on Friday, 29 year old Rakib Imam Ansari, resident of Amberneem locality in Kotwali area of Bhadohi district, was arrested from Aligarh.

Similarly, on Saturday, Naved Siddiqui, resident of Jat Colony of Sikri Gate area of Sambhal district, Mohammad Noman of Kotla Panju Sarai and Mohammad Nazim, resident of Deepa Sarai of Nakahara area, were also arrested. ISIS’s banned literature, mobile phones and pen drives etc. have been recovered from all of them. According to ATS, Rakib is B.Tech and M.Tech from Aligarh Muslim University. He currently lived in Bandarbagh of Civil Line police station area.

Similarly, Naved Siddiqui was doing B.Sc. from AMU. Whereas Noman has done BA (Hons) from AMU. Nazim was actively associated with the ISIS module of AMU through his associate Noman. This information was given by ATS Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Mohit Aggarwal. On the other hand, AMU Proctor Dr. Wasim Ali said that through the media, he also got information about the involvement of university students in suspicious activities. This matter is being investigated.
