Picture of Ram temple built in Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
Before the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the discussion of a Ram temple located in Delhi has intensified. This temple is built in Ashok Vihar. It is being claimed that this Ram temple has also been built on the lines of Ayodhya Ram temple. The architects, stones and methods are the same as those used in the grand Ram temple of Ayodhya. In such a situation, if you are not able to be a part of the historical Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ayodhya on 22nd January, then you can reach this temple in Delhi and have darshan of Lord Ram and also celebrate the festival.
The construction of this Ram temple in Delhi started in 1975, but even at that time the plan for its construction was kept exactly on the lines of the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya. On request, Chandrakant Sompura gave a map of a temple similar to the Ram temple and just as the Ram temple was built using the Nagar method, this temple was also built using the same method. Now before the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav, this temple is again in the news in Delhi. On one hand, there will be grand programs on the consecration of Ram Lala in Ayodhya, while there are preparations for a big event here too.
The temple is built on the ancient Nagara style.

Ashok Bansal, general secretary of the temple committee, has said that this temple is being built on the ancient city style pattern in which there is a post at the bottom, then there are stairs, in the middle there is a place for the devotees to stay and then the sanctum sanctorum. Which is exactly similar to the Ayodhya Ram temple. Ram temple of Delhi is also divided into three parts. It has Radha Krishna temple, Ram Darbar and Lord Shiva’s pagoda.
There are three ways to enter the temple
To enter the temple, there are grand stairs from all three sides, which are built on the lines of the Ram Mandir model. Devotees can enter the temple from all three sides and go to the main hall. There are 12 high pillars in the middle, the roof is made in a circular motion which is about 30 feet high and has carvings.
Construction without cement and rebar
Like Ayodhya Ram temple, this temple is built without cement, without rods etc. According to the ancient tradition, the temple has been given a grand look by carving idols of Gods and Goddesses. The boundary walls of the temple are also being made of pink stones and the same stone has also been used in the Ayodhya Ram temple.
