New Delhi: The oldest person in the world has passed away. Saturnino de la Fuente, named the oldest person in the world by Guinness World Records, died on Tuesday at the age of 112. According to the official news agency ‘EFE’, Saturnino de la Fuente died at his home in the northwestern city of Leon in Spain.
When Fuente was once asked the secret of his longevity, he said that the secret of his long life was to live a calm life and not hurt anyone. Saturnino de la Fuente was born on February 11, 1909, in Puente Castro.
Fuente is survived by his wife, eight children, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The last almost two years have been very difficult for him, as he got corona and could not meet his family due to this.
Earlier last month, China’s oldest person, Alimihan Seyti, died at the age of 135 in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to China’s propaganda department, Seyti was born on June 25, 1886, a resident of Comxrik township in Shule county in Kashgar province.
Before his death, Seyti had a very simple and regular daily life. She always had food on time and enjoyed sunbathing in her courtyard. Even after such a long age, he was seen helping in the care of great-grandchildren. The relatives also told the reason of his death to be natural.
