There is a threshold in Delhi where people behave with great respect and politeness. This is the platform on which people of all religions are seen tied by a thread. This door frame is Sufiana, and its colors are also many. That’s why a colorful gathering is also organized here and colors are also sung. Amidst the happiness of Diwali, we are talking about Mehboob-e-Ilahi, Sufi elder Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, who is also known as ‘Jag Ujiara’.
If Diwali is full of excitement in the country then how can this day remain dull at the doorstep of this Sufi elder. On this festival of lights, lamps are lit from the doorstep of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya to his entire court (Dargah Sharif). On the day of Diwali, devotees light lamps at Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah Sharif and congratulate each other on Diwali, and name this special moment as Jashn-e-Charagan.

On the day of Diwali, Hindus and Muslims together light lamps at Dargah Sharif. On this festival which is illuminated all over the country, the Dargah Sharif of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya also shines with lights. The light of the lamps creates such a sight that it brightens the hearts of people. The ritual of Dua-e-Charagaan is also performed here in the evening. In this ritual, prayers are said in the light of lamps.

Muzammil Barkati, who attends the Dargah Sharif, says that on the day of Diwali, lamps are lit at the Dargah Sharif and congratulations are given on Jashn-e-Charagan. He says that Jashn-e-Charagan is celebrated by lighting lamps on happy occasions. Diwali is also a festival of happiness. On this happy festival, Hindu brothers and sisters come to Dargah Sharif and light the lamps, and Muslim brothers join in this joy and wish them a happy Diwali.
