NCP Sharad Pawar faction in Maharashtra has intensified its efforts regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. A round of discussions took place in this meeting regarding the ground situation of the party after the departure of Ajit Pawar and his fellow leaders. During the two-day review meeting, party leaders discussed a total of 15 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. Apart from this, topics like who are interested in getting tickets were also discussed.
After the meeting, State President Jayant Patil said that in these two days, under the chairmanship of Pawar Saheb, very serious brainstorming was done regarding the Lok Sabha seats of Maharashtra. During this, all the leaders and officials from 15 Lok Sabha constituencies also presented their views regarding the ground hold of the Nationalist Congress Party in their respective areas.
Claims to be in contact with leader of Ajit Pawar group
During this, State President Jayant Patil has claimed that many MLAs of NCP Ajit Pawar faction are in contact with him. He said that he talks to those MLAs every day. However, he also clarified that there has been no discussion yet among the constituent parties of Mahavikas Aghadi regarding Lok Sabha seat sharing.
Discussion on seat sharing after Dussehra
He said that the round of meetings with party leaders is still going on. On the other hand, Uddhav Thackeray is also holding a review meeting regarding Lok Sabha seats. After Dussehra, there will be a meeting between the constituent parties of Mahavikas Aghadi, in which seat sharing will be discussed.
There is still some churning left on seats.
Jayant Patil said that a review meeting is yet to be held regarding 3-4 other Lok Sabha seats. He said that when Sharad Pawar gives time for this, then those seats will be discussed.
During this time, when a question was also asked about Yashwantrao Chavan, he said that Yashwantrao ji never thought of going with BJP. Why was there a need to put up the poster of Yashwantrao Chavan, that is, the Ajit Pawar group, this question should be asked to those people only.
