New Delhi: The preparations for Republic Day are in full swing in the country amid the Corona protocol. According to the information, this year the Republic Day parade will start half an hour late from the scheduled time. This is the first time in 75 years that the parade will start late. Year Republic Day parade used to start at 10 am, but this year it will start at 10.30 am. The parade ceremony will be of 90 minutes like last year.
The start of the Republic Day Parade will be delayed this year due to the Corona protocol and tribute meeting. First, tributes will be paid to the security personnel who lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir, after which the parade will begin.
This parade will be of 8 kms. The parade starts from Raisina Hill and ends at Red Fort via Rajpath, India Gate. Before the start of the parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay homage to the martyrs by garlanding the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate and the National War Memorial.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the National War Memorial near India Gate. After that he will reach Red Fort. Tableaux representing cultural diversity, social and economic progress will be displayed during this time. The floats will go up to the Red Fort and be put up there for public display, but the marching parties will stay at the National Stadium. Due to Corona related restrictions, artists performing in cultural events on Republic Day are not allowed to meet anyone.
The Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is being celebrated to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence. This year the Republic Day celebrations on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence will also be very grand and historic. The grandest flypast ever at the Republic Day Parade celebrations will be seen on the Rajpath in Delhi. Indian Air Force will do a flypast on the Rajpath with 75 aircraft while paying homage to the freedom fighters.
