New DelhiSmartphone brand Realme has achieved a new milestone of 40 million shipments of its No. series smartphones. This has been given in a new report on Monday. According to Strategy Analytics, Realme’s number series in the ‘New Age Smartphone Families’ was at number four in the third quarter of 2021.
In the third quarter of 2021, Realme has become the fastest brand ever to ship 100 million units globally.
The ‘new age smartphone family’ is defined as the smartphone product lines launched since 2018, Reno from Oppo, iQ from Vivo and Galaxy M from Samsung.
Madhav Sheth, CEO, Realme International Business Group, VP, Realme and President, Realme India, said, “Our number range is aimed at young users across the globe and we have successfully brought in several technological innovations that are well received by our users. We have some exciting plans this year to expand our numbers chain and bring more disruption.”
The realme number series has achieved this feat in just 14 quarters since realme 1 was launched in 2018.
As per Counterpoint, as the 5G leader in India, Realme is the first to bring a 5G phone to the Indian market. Realme X50 Pro has become the top 5G smartphone brand in India with a share of 23 per cent in February 2019 and 23% in Q2 2021.
