A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Here a farmer was brutally beaten to death. Some policemen have been accused of murder. The family has lodged a complaint against the accused policemen in the police station. Meanwhile, in this case the ASP has suspended seven policemen and instituted a departmental inquiry against them. Post-mortem of the deceased’s body has been done.
The incident took place in Sardar Nagar. Here a farmer was returning from his field, gambling was being played at a place on the same route by which he was coming. Meanwhile, on information, the police reached there and the gamblers fled from the spot. The farmer returning there was beaten badly by the policemen, who later died. When the farmer did not reach home, the family members started worrying. They searched extensively and found him lying injured in a field. The family members told that in the injured condition he told that the police personnel beat him without any reason. The family of the deceased has filed a complaint of murder against the policemen.
Accusations made against policemen
The brother of the deceased told that the policemen caught my brother who was returning from the fields and started threatening him to tell the names of the people who gambled. When my brother refused to reveal his name, Inspector Tinku Kumar and other police personnel abused him and beat him severely.
Seven policemen suspended
According to the deceased’s brother Krishna Kumar Sharma, Inspector Tinku Kumar, constable Deepak, Pushpendra Rana, Manoj, Ankit Kumar, Satyajit, Mohit and ambulance driver Vijay beat my brother badly. My brother was kicked, punched and beaten with the butt of the rifle. Due to this, Santosh suffered serious injuries on his head, chest and back. The brother was admitted in a critical condition to a private hospital in Bareilly, where he died during treatment. The same accused policemen reached the hospital and they also talked about giving money and kept trying to hush up the matter. The brother of the deceased has filed a complaint to register a case of murder against all the policemen.
SSP Bareilly has suspended Bhamora outpost incharge Sardarnagar Tinku Kumar, constable Deepak, Pushpendra Rana, Manoj, Ankit, Pushpendra Rana, Deepak Kumar, Satyajit Singh and Mohit Kumar. SP Dehat Mukesh Chandra Mishra will investigate this matter. SSP has prima facie found him guilty.
