A case of tainting relationships has come to light in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a father strangled his son to death. The father was a drug addict, he used to come home drunk every day and fight. When the son protested against his drunkenness, the father strangled him to death. The matter is of e-bus charging locality of Chakeri police station area.
On Monday afternoon, a fight started between father and son over drug addiction. The quarrel escalated so much that the father strangled his son with a rope. By the time the local people could reach his son’s screams, 25-year-old tailor Deepak Nishad had died. The accused father absconded after the murder.
Local people informed the police about this matter. As soon as information about the incident was received, Chakeri police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. At the same time, local people told that there used to be frequent fights between the deceased and his father. The wife of deceased Deepak has also been living in her parents’ house for several months, fed up with the domestic disputes.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, DCP East Tej Swaroop Singh, ADCP Lakhan Yadav and ACP Chakeri Brij Narayan Singh reached the spot along with the forensic team. According to family members, deceased Deepak was married to Suman Nishad, a resident of Fatehpur, just a year ago. Fed up with the domestic dispute, the wife of deceased Deepak had gone to her maternal home several months ago. The mother of the deceased says that Deepak had also become addicted to alcohol after leaving his wife’s maternal home, while his father Ganesh was already addicted to alcohol.
Meanwhile, DCP Tej Swaroop Singh said that all the points are being investigated. To catch the accused of murder, different teams including surveillance were formed, with the help of which the accused has been arrested. Police said that further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report.
