Today the country has got the gift of its first Rapid Rail Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off the train running from Sahibabad to Duhai depot under the first phase. After flagging off the train, PM Modi also traveled in it. PM Modi was seen talking to school children. While addressing the program, PM Modi said that we also inaugurate the foundation stone of which we lay.
PM Modi said that today is a historic moment for the entire country. Today India’s first rapid rail service ‘Namo Bharat’ train has been dedicated to the nation. During this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel were also present. From tomorrow, common citizens will be able to travel by this train. The trains running on this route have been named ‘Namo Bharat’. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had announced its name change yesterday.

The first phase of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is 17 kilometers long. That means now passengers will be able to travel from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to Duhai depot. The train fare from Sahibabad to Duhai depot has been kept at Rs 50. At the same time, Rs 100 will have to be paid for premium coach.

Train will be available every 15 minutes
Now this train will be available every 15 minutes, but after the expansion of further stations, this train will be operated every 5 minutes. This corridor is being constructed at a cost of more than Rs 30 thousand crores. This train will reach Meerut from Delhi in less than an hour passing through Ghaziabad, Muradnagar and Modinagar. Let us tell you that PM Narendra Modi had laid the foundation of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor on March 8, 2019.
