India is now going to create a space force for security in space.
India, which has been continuously raising the flag of success in the field of space, is now going to take another step forward. India has decided to become a power in space as well as in the sky and is going to create a Space Force. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has also prepared a roadmap to match China in this matter. Under this, the Air Force is fully assessing the civil and military aspects of space. Along with this, its infrastructure and theoretical framework have also been prepared. Not only this, for its new role, the Indian Air Force will soon emerge in a new avatar with its new name.
In collaboration with the Department of Space Agency, the Air Force will also provide training to its personnel on a large scale in view of the various needs of space. Under this, Space War Training Command is also being established in Hyderabad. Under this institute, separate colleges will also be built for training in space law. In this college, professional forces proficient in international space law will be prepared.
IAF will bear 60 percent of the expenses
To become a space force, the Air Force is going to prepare a large fleet of space satellites. The Indian Air Force wants to install more than 100 large and small military satellites in India with the help of the private sector in the next 7 to 8 years. These will be used for activities like communication, weather prediction, navigation, real time surveillance. The Air Force has decided that it will bear 60% of the expenses incurred in launching these satellites. Whereas ISRO and DRDO will play a major role in the launching.
The Air Force has also requested DRDO to work on such an aircraft that can fly smoothly in space. DRDO is now working on this. There is a proposal to include private companies related to aerospace also in this. This is the beginning of India’s militarization of space. Future battles will be fought on land, sea, sky as well as in cyber and space fields. India is now working on increasing both its defensive and offensive forces in space for security.
At the administrative level, the Air Force is in favor of the formation of a Joint Space Command in which all three military forces have a stake and organizations like ISRO and DRDO should also be included in it. There is a proposal to include private companies related to aerospace also in this.

The Indian Air Force now wants to increase its defensive capability in space also to protect its important bases. Countries like America and China are trying to establish their dominance in space. In such a situation, India is also trying to strengthen its hold in space. At present, apart from Russia and America, the space force is with China. Soon India will also be included in this list.
What is Space Force?
Space Force can be considered as ‘Astronaut Soldier’. Which means that such combat soldiers will be trained for the protection of space. However, this force is a little different because these fighters will not be deployed in space but will work there to protect their satellites and other space vehicles.
In the year 2015, China created a Strategic Support Force which is involved in war missions related to space, cyber and electronic world. Similarly, the then US President Donald Trump had talked about creating such a force in the year 2019 and then it was ready in 10 months.
