Cyber criminal in police custody
Giridih Police of Jharkhand has busted a cyber gang that preys on people through obscene videos. Police have arrested 4 thugs of the gang. At the same time, 3 criminals of the gang managed to escape. Police have also recovered mobile phones, SIM cards and ATMs from them. Vicious cyber criminals used to trick people into getting the girl to do a nude video through video call.
Giridih district SP Deepak Kumar Sharma said that he had received secret information about cyber crime being committed by this gang. A team was formed under the supervision of Cyber DSP Sandeep Suman to catch cyber criminals. Cyber criminals used to cheat people from their own village. He used to prey on people from village Atkadih Uparbagi through obscene videos on mobile.
Raid in village, cyber criminals caught
SP Deepak Kumar Sharma said that the team raided village Atkadih Uparbagi to catch cyber criminals. The police team arrested all four cyber criminals here. The four arrested accused confessed to cheating common people by instigating them by sending obscene videos. Cyber criminals used to use pictures of beautiful girls to trap people. He used to capture obscene videos and pictures of people while chatting through SKOKKA app. Then they used these videos and pictures to blackmail them and cheat them. Police have recovered 13 mobile phones, 19 SIM cards and 4 ATM cards from the arrested cyber criminals.
42 cyber criminals caught in 2 months
Cyber criminals are dominant in Giridih district of Jharkhand. During the last two months, the district police has so far arrested a total of 42 cyber criminals in various cyber fraud cases. SP Deepak Kumar Sharma has appealed to the people not to share information related to bank accounts on social media as well as to be cautious while downloading unsecured apps and while talking on calls made from unknown numbers.
