New Delhi. Seeing the decrease in the cases of corona virus in the country, the government is also relaxing the restrictions. The Health Ministry on Thursday issued new COVID-19 guidelines for the arrival of international travelers. These guidelines will come into effect from February 14. In this, relief has been given to international travelers and now they will not need mandatory isolation for a week. They will now self-monitor themselves for 14 days.
Apart from this, the government has also abolished the list of countries with ‘at risk’ marking, giving relief to foreign travelers. As per the latest guidelines, the Health Ministry said that apart from the mandatory uploading of RT-PCR report 72 hours before the start of the journey, passengers can show their certificate of complete vaccination.
At the same time, as the RT-PCR test had to be uploaded on the Air Suvidha portal on the eighth day after being in isolation for seven days, it is still not necessary. Apart from this, with reference to all countries, it has been said that random sampling of 2 percent of international passengers will be done.
All the passengers have been asked to keep a watch on themselves for 14 days and if there is any problem, they will be isolated immediately. Also report to nearest health center or call national helpline number (1075) / state helpline number. Let us inform that the new international travel guidelines of the government have come in view of the decrease in the cases of Omicron at home and abroad.
