New Delhi: On the completion of one year of the vaccination campaign, BJP President JP Nadda on Sunday said that India has led the fight against COVID-19. He also said that under the brilliant leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the seemingly impossible task was made possible and the world appreciated the country.
Nadda tweeted, “Exactly a year ago, India embarked on the arduous journey of vaccinating its over 135 crore people amid the COVID pandemic. It was a task that seemed impossible, but PM Shri Narendra It was possible under the brilliant leadership of Modi ji. The world stood up and applauded us.”
Nadda said that the country has given 156 crore doses of the vaccine, of which 99 percent of the doses have been given in rural India. 70 percent of our adult population is fully vaccinated. More than 3 crore children have received their first dose since the program started. India has led the fight against Covid-19.
BJP President Nadda also thanked the health and frontline workers, doctors, scientists and citizens for making the vaccination campaign a success.
Nadda said that in the last one year, India has come together in this fight against COVID-19. Gratitude to lakhs of health and frontline workers, doctors and scientists of our country and most importantly the people of our country for making this massive vaccination campaign a success.
