Prashant Dev, New Delhi: BJP MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi met Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, after which he while talking to News24 said that he is ready to give up his MP seat for his son. Rita Bahuguna said that Mayank Bahuguna has been working for the party for a long time and he should be given a ticket.
Talking to News 24, Rita Bahuguna said that I had asked her for time for Allahabad division and discussed with her about this. There should not be any speculation about this and only the discussion has taken place regarding the elections. She said that in the matter of giving ticket to the son, I have not spoken to the Union Minister and whatever I had to give in writing in this regard, I have given it to the committee.
Rita Bahuguna said, “I welcome the decision of the party that there will not be two tickets in a family, but many people have got it. I have already announced that I will not contest 2024 elections. I have written to the party president that I give up my seat now and Mayank Joshi deserves it. I have worked in this seat for 12 years and he has worked here so that he can get a ticket.
She said, “I have clearly told the party that if my son gets a ticket, I will give up the seat and I am not leaving the party and will continue to work as a BJP worker.”
Please tell that Rita Bahuguna Joshi is a BJP MP. He left the Congress party and joined BJP. Apart from Rita, the names of BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, Union Minister Kaushal Kishor and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya are also included in the list of seeking tickets for their sons in BJP.
